Government Buildings, Cathedral Square, shortly after completion

This building was designed by J.C. Maddison and erected 1910-1911. Here it is shown shortly after completion. A corner of The Press building can be seen on the left

Former Government Building, 98 Worcester Street, August 2009

2009

Old Goverment Building, on the corner of Cathedral Square and Worcester Street, was converted to apartments and a hotel in the 1990s.  The tramlines and entrance to Cathedral Junction are on the right.
