Looking north from Ward & Co. Ltd., brewers and maltsters

The corner of Kilmore Street and Fitzgerald Avenue, is in the foreground. Ward's was the first brewery in Canterbury. The large house belonged to Richard Steele (1852-1915), manager of Ward's and was at 6 Kilmore Street.
