Car Trouble
1960s
My father (Gus Watts) and Ralph, fixing our troublesome car. I think it was a Model A Ford (or Model T) I can't remember. This is Middlepark Road, Upper Riccarton, outside number 12. The empty section opposite is now the intersection of Gladson Ave and Middlepark Road. The poplar trees provided protection for the raspberry fields behind the houses. (These "new" houses were built in the 1950s, with another building wave in the 1960s).
