Substation remains at the former PDL Buildings, Addington

The main PDL Industries building located at 2-8 Hazeldean Road, Addington was built around 1912 as a flour mill and later was part of the PDL Industries plastics factory. The buildings were demoished in January 2007 for revelopment into a Business Park.

Fibreglass design for substation

Fibreglass design for a Central Canterbury Electric Power Board substation. The design, by Christchurch Architect, Mr D.E. Donnithorne was one of two joint winners of the first annual AHI Fibreglass Environmental Design Award.
