Mavis Suckling and Cyril
Circa 1930
"Initially, I thought this photo was of my grandad Cyril with his sister Mavis. Of course, I only remember him as an old man (actually a grumpy old man). So when I first saw this photo and thought he was him and on a Harley, and looking so young...well, he seemed a different person. Turns out the man is a different person. So who is this dashing Cyril taking my great aunt for a spin on a Harley? Evidently Mavis and her sister Gwen were quite adventurous women and often hung out with 'the fast set', as my mother described." - Contributor's note
