Contributor's note: "The first celebration of Māori Language Moment Te Wā Tuku Reo Māori in Ōtautahi Christchurch. The team marched from the Scott Statue to the Bridge of Remembrance and tamariki performed waiata and haka at the Bridge of Remembrance for the Māori Language Moment at midday. Māori Language Moment celebrates the anniversary of the presentation at parliament of the petition for te reo Māori to be made an official language of New Zealand - 14 September 1972."
