The old Christchurch Northwest Methodist Children's Home Closed and Reopen as a Community Years later and Sadly it Closed for good years ago and is still own by Methodist Church of New Zealand.

Beckenham Community Landscape Project and mural

The mural commemorating the history of Beckenham was commissioned by Eve Harding who was one of the owners of the site of the garden.The garden itself was created by the Christchurch South Community Gardens in 2012.The mural is painted on the side wall of Hardings chemist at 135 Colombo Street.
