Kites at an airport
Kites at an airport
The two boys with kites are my brother and me, and other family members are around as well. At the time we lived at the Harewood Transit Camp. Dad used to make the kites from very light fine paper and light wood, and the kites did not need a tail which was a bit unusual back then! The aeroplane is a USAF Globemaster, used for the Deep Freeze flights to the Antarctic.
