September 1944

This is a photograph of the local Home Guard, note the board with E.P.S (bottom left). Taken in September (the flowering cherry always blossomed in September) most likely 1944 - could be 1945. It was taken at the gateway of 85 Eastern Terrace Beckenham, the home of my parents, Eileen and Lou Wederell.
The men are:
Back row - J Chittenden, unknown, L. Wederell, J Price, unknown
Front row - W. Gabb, F Bearne, unknown, T Clarkson.
The children on the lawn are:
LtoR Claire Wederell, Lois Sadler, Joy Wederrel, Fay Wederell.
Dad told us if we stood up there we could be in the photo.
