"Taken with a box brownie camera by a friend at 9 Albemarle Street, Sydenham. Christchurch. The group composes of 4 grandchildren, the twins are seated on their father and paternal grandfather's knee. Nana is standing. They had only one son who had 4 children under 5 years. The grandparents were born in 1874 and 1890 respectively. The son in 1917. The children were born 1945, 1947 and 1949. They are dressed in their Sunday Best for visiting after church." - Contributor's note
