"This woman is 17, she had 5 half brothers and sisters, a total of 8 children. She left home at 17 and traveled by train from Dunedin to Christchurch. She lived in a boarding house and worked in domestic service as a cook. She married in 1916 and had 1 child. She was from a Scottish family and could read and write. She had 1 son, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 13 great great grand children.
