Park Janitor
Park Janitor
I woke up to the fact that humans were using the earth like a big garbage bin, and that someday, the bin would overflow. The fact is very scary, but we cannot shut our eyes to it. What we can do is to pick up rubbish, and that is exactly what I did. Recently, I had the idea to pick up rubbish on my daily walks around the neighbourhood. I would wear an old gardening glove on one hand, and hold a paper bag in the other. This routine made me realise the amount of cigarettes that were concealed under a bush, the number of cans lined on the sidewalk, and how many plastic bottles were clogged up in the drains. Though what I have done has made little difference, my conscience feels satisfied because I have done my part.
