Lyttelton Times First Edition Commemorative Plaque
"This plaque was attached to the building at 2 Norwich Quay Lyttelton prior to the 2011 earthquakes. It marks the place where the first edition of the Lyttelton Times was produced on 5th January 1851, 3 weeks after the printing press and staff arrived on the Charlotte Jane. John Ingram Shrimpton's father, Ingram Shrimpton, was the first proprietor of the Lyttelton Times." - Contributor's note
