Exterior of the Curators House at 7 Rolleston Avenue at the entrance to the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. "These….photos of the Christchurch Botanic Gardens were taken by Alleyne Cook. Alleyne was at Burnham training for what was to become the J-Force (peacekeeping in Japan after WWII). When on leave , he would come up to Christchurch and experiment with his new camera. Alleyne was my father, 1924-2019." - Contributor's note
