Rangi (Moaroa) Oberg JP QSM, owner of Smiths Book shop and her son in law Ross Humphries who managed the business. Smiths was very much a family bookshop. Rangi always made sure there was an arrangement of flowers on the counter and was known for offering customers cups of tea. People often called in for a friendly chat or to get advice and to chat with her.
