Gravel Pit Carpark

Gravel Pit Carpark
Ubiquitous Wilson Parking in a vacant lot (gravel pit) left behind from demolished buildings. Massive car park lot on Worcester Street, west of Cathedral Square.
Post earthquake, these makeshift carparks sprung up all over the CBD, and it wasn't until 2021 that the Christchurch City Council started to enforce the relevant resource consents requiring land owners to "clean up" the image of these temporary par parking lots.
