Street party in Fisher Avenue, Beckenham, between Norwood Street and Eastern Terrace. The older man running the barbecue is Fred Senter. Families are seated along the footpath with more activities further along the street. This was in the days when ChCh City Council notified road closures for free so communities could get together.
