Front yard silt and memory of dazed man

22 February 2011

Wainoni Rd property affected by silt: the tilt garage door couldn't be opened because the silt was above the bottom of the door; the entrance gate was stuck in place. In subsequent days the debate raged about whether it was easier to dig out wet silt (heavy but gluggy) or dry silt (extremely dusty). The silt just spurted up like little volcanoes. At first I thought it was water from a burst pipe. With subsequent aftershocks, the back yard and fence wobbled like jelly; it felt like I was on a cartoon movie set.
