Our flat is in the centre at the end of the short road with the cars parked in it. In the foreground is the University playing fields, the next over is the teachers' college."University of Canterbury Ilam campus, 1972-74. Scans from 35mm slides taken by Ken Whybrew, lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Canterbury, 1972-2001. Ken and Linda Whybrew emigrated from England in 1972 for Ken's role at the University of Canterbury. They collected sets of slides with lists of numbered captions which were sent home to the UK and circulated among family and friends. These photos show the University of Canterbury campus soon after its development”.
