Blue the dog with his friend playing on the new jetty in Governors Bay.

Contributor’s note: “It was early October 2023. The lovely dog is Blue who lives near Governors bay and the boy is his friend. They play on the Jetty which was rebuilt this year for the first time after the Christchurch earthquake. Around them on the Jetty, some people talk about Christchurch, today's news, and the new Jetty. I am a Japanese, and live with Blue and his lovely family as a wwoofer to help them and to learn about New Zealand and Christchurch culture. I listened to their talk and felt Christchurch in some way. Also, I felt they looked so happy to be able to stand on the Jetty. I'm sure that a bright future will be carved on the Jetty for Blue, the boy, and many people of Christchurch.
