Contributor’s note: “The photograph was taken at the indoor Centaurus Ice Skating rink in Centaurus Road which has been replaced by Torvill and Dean Lane .The photograph is of the cast of "London Ahoy". Presented in November 1954. The rink was then open all year. The presentation in November 1954 follows the skaters as they journey through various countries on their way to London. It was produced by the late Gwen Jones later Mrs Gwen LeCompt a gold medalist from Melbourne. She can be seen in the photograph just to the left of the husky.”.
