My Nanny and I
My Nanny and I
My paternal grandmother was known as "Nanny' to me and took me to many places. We are seen here at New Brighton Beach in 1949 with my pink woollen bathing suit I well remember. It was so comfortable. The tin bucket and spade I received every Xmas from Father Christmas. Nanny ( Mrs Ethel Leader nee Findlater) is "dressed for a day at the beach!' with dress and suit coat complete with feathered hat! I was Christened Margaret May Leader.
