Restored bell from ChristChurch Cathedral tower

The Cathedral bells were rescued from the rubble of the tower after it collapsed in the 22 February 2011 earthquake and were sent to the United Kingdom for restoration. They are in storage and await the rebuild of the Cathedral tower. The Cathedral was open for tours on the weekend 15 and 16 June 2024.
