Sockburn Pool & Recreation Centre
Sockburn Pool & Recreation Centre
The Pool was closed for the Winter but the Recreation Centre with Squash and other activities was open the year round. The pool was used by many of the schools in the Winter for canoe & yachting. The optimist yachts actually were made by the Ladbrooks school and purchased by the Hornby High School after the amalgamation of the Paparua County to the Christchurch City Council.
