Façade of a cottage on Bamford Road, Allendale.

Contributors note: "These photos are of the same cottage in Bamfords Rd, Allendale. The earlier c1905 photo shows the Bamford family as it then was (Daniel & Hono(u)r Bamford & their children living at that time – there were further children) on the verandah of the family home - additions were made as the family increased in size. Daniel built the cottage in question which was, as I guess was a practice of the times, added to as the family grew. The later photo shows the same but much-modified cottage in 2008. The cottage still stands."
