A duck and her ducklings on the pavement at Ilex Cafe in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

Contributor's note: Mother duck had her work cut out for her, rounding up all her ducklings, as the chicks were constantly hunting out scraps fallen from tables; cafe patrons were constantly on the lookout to make sure they were not inadvertently stepping on the chicks.
