Spencer King and his father Russell, from Hay River, Northwest Territories, Canada, racing down the Waimakariri River during the World Jetboat Marathon.
Contributors note: "Spencer King and his navigator/father Russell of Hay River, Northwest Territories, Canada at over 180kmh headed downstream in the braids of the Waimakariri River. On their way to winning the 2001 World Jetboat Marathon, the first overseas crew to ever win a Marathon in New Zealand, they drove 864 kilometres of 8 different South Island rivers in under 6 hours, averaging over 140 kilometres per hour!! 2001 World Jetboat Marathon."
