A wet evening in Cathedral Square, looking north east. Visible buildings include ChristChurch Cathedral, Warner's Hotel, Savoy Theatre, the former Lyttelton Times building and Cathedral Chambers. The Citizens' War memorial is visible to the left of the the cathedral.

Contributors note: "Christchurch Cathedral Square, on a wet evening. Part of Cathedral and other buildings are visible through the leaves of a tree. In the middle of the photo is the Citizens (or the Soldiers) War Memorial."
