Te Kiheru Wai ō Tahu The Canoe Bailer of Tahu sculpture on the corner of High Street and Cashel Street. A bronze sculpture that was installed in 2017 by Lewis Tamihana Gardiner. Kei Arapawa te ihu, Kei Motu Pohue te kei, Ko Rakiura te punga o te waka a Māui, Ka rite anō Te Kiheru Wai ō Tahu. The prow is at Arapawa (Marlborough Sounds), The stern is at Motu Pohue (Bluff), Rakiura (Stewart Island) is the anchor stone of Māui’s vessel.
