Margaret Cunneen aged 8 years on the grounds of Mount Magdala on Halswell Road, ran by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. The self-contained community was part of the international movement of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd, which aimed to protect and rehabilitate disadvantaged women, orphans and the elderly.
