Chinese New Year celebrations

18 February 1969

A Chinese drummer as part of the lion dance during the Chinese New Year celebrations at Lyttelton. The celebrations were led by the crew of the passenger cargo vessel Tjinegara, manned by Dutch officers and Chinese crew.
