The lodge of Unanimity building is a particularly interesting heritage building in Lyttelton. While it has been unused since suffering significant earthquake damage, it is one of few, if possibly the only double Mountfort building. Having been built by the famous Benjamen Woolfield Mountfort of cathedral spire fame among many other churches, it had a refectory added on to the building by Cyril Mountfort, Benjamen Mountfort's son. The lodge of Unanimity No 3 no longer meets in Lyttelton, having sold the building under the condition that it be restored, but has since formed the Lodge of Unanimity Sumner No 3, combining with the Sumner Lodge No 242 at the old Sumner lode building which is now located at Ferrymead Heritage Park as the Ferrymead Masonic Centre.
