Optimist Yachts in the Sockburn Pool in the Winter of 1985
Optimist Yachts in the Sockburn Pool in the Winter of 1985
We had four Optimist Yachts which were owned by the Council . They were built by the pupils and parents of Ladbrooks School and many schools came to learn sailing for many years. It was an ideal place to learn sailing . Note also we had the water slide going also cold water which no one seemed to mind. We also took them to the Halswell Aquatic Pool at times.
