British War Wives Club
My mother was a war bride. She married my father in England in 1948 and arrived in NZ aboard the Rangitiki in March 1949. She was a long-standing member of the British War Wives Club. They met regularly and there were still 70 of them to get together for a reunion 17 May 1996. This is a photo of an early support group.
