Bull Sculptures
Bull Sculptures
After the earthquakes, these two bull sculptures by Michael Parekowhai were placed on this site which was chosen by the sculptor. In the building opposite there was a red, carved grand piano, which was a part of the artwork which had been displayed in the Venice Biennale. During the time during which these two sculptures were displayed, recitals were presented on the carved piano. The sculpture of the bull standing on the piano is now located outside the Christchurch Art Gallery.
