World War I Officer

1910s

Unknown soldier; photo reproduced from a glass negative.
Highly commended in the 2014 photo hunt from Glyn Williams.
It has been suggested in a response to a question on the New Zealand genealogy list New Zealand L, that "the cap badge is most likely British. The flying dragon emblem was used by Brecknockshire Battalion soldiers in WW1. It may also be the "Buffs" Royal Kent East Regiment which is a British Regiment that existed from 1572 to 1961 and has used the same flying Dragon Motif."
