This is a photo of my grandmother Charlotte Rita Dalrymple born in 1905. She is approx 18 yearsrs old in this photo, dressed as a man, ready to ride her boyfriends motor bike. Sid Marsh (boyfriend) later married. Charlotte known as Rita had waist length long dark hair and would tie it up and put it in a cap to cover it. She would love to ride "fast' and also drove the bike. They would often travel to Kaikoura to visit friends the Harnetts. On their way they would have to go through fords. They started married life in Sydenham.
