Colombo, Hereford and High Street intersection
Cars, people and buildings at the intersection of Colombo, Hereford and High Street in the central city.
Contributor's note: "The photo shows the Category 1 Heritage listed Fisher Building, often also referred to as the Hanafins Building, on the left. The Venetian Gothic Fisher building was designed by William Armson in 1871 for Thomas Richard Fisher and the Hanafin family businesses operated out of the building since the 1920s. In the middle background is the Westpac Building designed by Warren and Mahoney in 1983 for the Canterbury Savings Bank. Both buildings were damaged and demolished following the February 2011 earthquake."
