Globemaster II at Harewood Airport

1950s

The United States Air Force Globemaster II aeroplane arrives at Harewood Airport. Nicknamed "Old Shakey" the heavy-lift cargo aircraft was used to assist supply operations to Operation Deep Freeze at McMurdo Station in Antarctica.
