Opening of the Christchurch boating clubs' 1907-1908 season

October 1907

Decorated boats were rowed up and down the Avon river. A very pretty decorative scheme, worked out in seaweed and shells and rowed by a crew of green-clad girls from the Canterbury Club, won first prize.
