Bob Bradford Big Band Carlton Hotel
1975-76
Dad lived for his music. A few years after playing at the Winter Garden in around 1975/76 his band played at the Carlton Hotel which was on the corner of Bealey Avenue & Papanui Road every Tuesday night. Whilst there a good friend of his recorded his music which was subsequently put on vinyl.

Me encata Mariachis!
29 October 2022
A wonderful quartet of Mariachis perform heartfelt traditional music for the crowd. It is simultaneously magical and nostalgic and would make one who has never heard it before feel joyful.

Local J-Rock Band '2nd Grade Syndrome' at Japan Day 2014
14 July 2013
Contributor's note: "Local J-Rock Band '2nd Grade Syndrome' performs for a crowd at Japan Day. The group was comprised of Christchurch high school and university students. Their name translates to the colloquial term Chūnibyō (中二病) typically used as a phase some early teens go through where they have delusions of grandeur and convince themselves that they have hidden knowledge or secret powers. The event was held at the Riccarton Park Function Centre."
Japan Day was organised by ニュージーランド国 カンタベリー日本人会 / The Japanese Society of Canterbury.
