A 'postie' during the war

1940s.

My mother was a 'postie' during the war and for a couple of years afterwards. This shows her with one of her regular customers who came out with cold water for her on hot days. I think this was taken in Heathcote but I'm not definite about that.

Post Office telegraph department delivery staff
