Definitely no longer a safe retreat
Definitely no longer a safe retreat
Retreat Road in Avonside following Feb 2011 earthquake - definitely not living up to its name anymore.... However, nice creative use of broken fence-pavers to create a bridge across pavement mudhole! (Front of photo) Signage on fencing (rear of photo) asked non-Avonside-residents to refrain from trying to drive around area & rubberneck, out of consideration for residents & to avoid further vibration damage travelling from broken streets to nearby equally-broken houses.
