Spring still comes, even in the Residential Red Zone!
Even after the earthquakes, spring still came to Christchurch - along with the usual population explosion amongst the Paradise duck population! It was sort of reassuring, seeing normal seasonal changes occur along the river even where everything else had changed so drastically. Left of photo shows gravel from temporary road patching - top right shows plastic pipes laid to restore water supply to houses along the river. Location of photo: Avonside Drive, near the Swanns Road bridge.
