G.U.S. (Grocers United Stores) corner of Welles and Manchester streets, self help. G.U.S. moved out to Chappie Place Hornby 1960s. I.G.A. operated under G.U.S. umbrella. G.U.S. later developed into the Super Value supermarket group.
