Pedestrians and vehicle traffic on Gloucester Street
Pedestrians and vehicle traffic on Gloucester Street
Pedestrians standing on Gloucester Street, waiting for the traffic to pass so they can cross the road. Parking spaces along the street are all occupied by cars. Businesses pictured occupying the buildings along the southern side of Gloucester Street include Mullany's 60 Minute Denture Repairs, Sheppards New and Used Furniture, Amalgamated Tele-Hire, Mojo's Nitespot, White Heron Travel, Holy Cross Chapel, Chancery Arcade, McDonald's Auction Rooms, Mutual Rental Cars and Maling & Co. Scaffolding is erected at the Maling & Co building, with labourers working on repairs.
Contributors note: "Early 1970s street view of Gloucester Street, looking westwards towards Oxford Tce showing buildings, number of businesses, people along the footpath, some about to cross the street, vehicles, outside Chancery Arcade entrance, street parking meters."
