The challenges of public art for artists
Artist Tyson Campbell was Managing Curator at SCAPE Public Art for three years, 2023-26. During that time he curated three seasons of temporary public art in the central city. In this short video, Tyson reflects on what he learnt about public art over that period. Footage includes temporary sculptures and illustrations from SCAPE Public Art Season 2025: The Limits of Language, plus clips from an interview recorded at Hotel Montreal, corner Montreal & Kilmore Streets, Christchurch.
